Itinerary for Manyane

Sunday

Guests are met at Johannesburg International Airport by Dennis or Nolan between 9am and 1pm. We will have lunch at one of the local restaurants before leaving for Manyane at 2:30pm. The 3 hour drive to Manyane takes us through some beautiful scenery and the volcanic mountains that inspired The Lost City at Sun City. At Manyane, there is ample time to unpack and explore some of the scenery before we meet for a leisurely dinner when we can get to know each other and get used to life according to Africa Time.

Monday

We paint a traditional African landscape today in the air conditioned conference room or outside in the amphitheatre. Late afternoon we take a game drive in the open safari trucks before we enjoy a delicious bush dinner.

Tuesday

Painting wildlife is always more exciting after you have seen them in their natural habitat and today we do just that. Tonight the traditional dancers will entertain us at dinner.

Wednesday

Relax is what many choose to do on their day off, but others prefer to take a hot air balloon breakfast or a trip to Sun City and the Lost City.

Thursday

The dancers from Tuesday night are the subject of today's painting and make a lovely ethnic scenery. After a delicious dinner we head for the open safari trucks for a night game drive.

Friday

Today we paint around the camp and capture this lovely resort deep in the bush on canvas. Late afternoon we hold a mini exhibition of the week's paintings and an "encourager session". Dinner is a traditional South African braai (barbecue).

Saturday

Once you have spent a week in such a beautiful and secluded place it is always difficult to say good-bye, but after breakfast we have to head back to the airport for the journey home. You arrive at the airport around midday in time for flights from 2pm.
